was at the sandon hall show t'other week and i saw some sportpack arches which were made of rubber, but i didnt buy any of them due to my concern that paint might not stick with them bring rubber...

now i know the originals i have are plastic and so i understand you need a plastic primer for these
but is there any special products/ techniques needed for spraying rubber?????

i used to be a paint sprayer years ago for a ford dealer, when painting body kits / spoilers, we used to add plasipak to the 2 pack ICI paint we used that allowed the paint to flex a bit when cured

I just bought some of these, and nearly finnished painting them on Sunday. I used 320grit to take out some minor imperfections, 600grit to prep them, then plastic primer. I took my time and kept the paint as thin as practical. Modern paints are more flexable than you'd think, but you'll need to put in the time preping the arches.
