Hey all, I've just rebuilt my A+ diff with: new planet gears, fibre thrusts, bronze thrusts, pin, bearings all from mini spares. Diff covers are back on, and I've shimmed the left hand side cover to give the required 4 thou preload.

Thing is, I've now got a bit of 'up and down' movement on the output shafts. Left side about 1mm, right side about 1.5mm. Is this normal, should i be worried!?

Thanks

Ideally, it should be less, but if it's a standard build, I'd possibly let it go at that.

There's also some bushes, one is in the diff hemisphere (for the LH side) the other in the Crown Wheel (for the RH side). These need reaming after fitting though.

As above, only I'd get them from Minispares - will save you £6, less TMF+ discount if you have TMF+ subscription!
