Slightly higher rate coil springs from standard, New dampers.

They are lovely little cars and are what the Mini should have been a match for back then had BLMC spent a bit on development as Ford have always done.

I saw one the other day on the road and thought how neat and tidy it looked.

The front springs basically control the ride height, there are many different spring rates available, could be the springs are passed their sell by date.On my Mk2 Fiesta based Quantum kit car, with very similar suspension set up (top strut mount is different) it took me over 5 years to find the right compromise between spring rate & ride height, also found replacing the tie bar bushes improved the ride height a bit.

Is it standard ride height? If so shocks and springs would be my guess
