as above, offside lights only flash?

new switch and new flasher unit by wiper motor installed.
light on switch does not flash either.

checked inline fuses and those in the fusebox which are all pk.

waggling brown wire got the one side flashing but other side showed no sign of life.

by the way the interior light comes on when doors are opened, something that apparently is related?
