I am trying to track down any pictures of this car, which I had the opportunity to buy in the 80's! Guess what I didn't!!

All the same I am contemplating doing a copy. I think the car was made up in the Rallye d'Antibes livery. Any info but particularly pics gratefully received.

There are some photos of this one on the Mk1 Forum.......but you need to register with the forum to view photos and all sections of the forum, etc.

1275GT Rally Car - UWL 744K

"Photo of UWL 744K at scrutineering on the Antibes Rally 1986 taking place on the harbour side at Juan Le Pins. One of a team of three GT's on the event. Mike Smith is seen pushing the car and also behind is HUS 718T being pushed by Alisatir Black/Ron Adam.

It won its class on the Tour De Fance 1985 with Mike Smith I believe. Mike then did the 1986 Rally D'Antibes in the car with Keith Baud. Unfortunately retired with Gearbox.

Showing as SORN on the dvla site, so it, or its logbook is still in existence its blue, if that helps

It was originally Blaze and owned by BL UK Austin Morris Cowley Division.2

Thanks MAB that is exactly as I remember it. It was on top gear but I thought it was driven by Tony Mason. Not entirely sure but I think Tiff Needel had a go too.

If anyone else has, or knows of photos much appreciated.
