Hey Everyone,
I think the time has come to part with my mini as I don't have the time or space to give it the love it needs.
Basic summary is the car needs quite a lot of bodywork attention but is mechanically fine (i.e. suspension + engine), I'm after £600, based in Rushden Northants, read below for more details.
The car is a 1992 mini neon (J Reg), which was my daily driver for several years until I moved house last year and got a different car to drive to work.
I repaired the boot floor and rear valance and passenger side door step for its MOT last winter, but it failed again around 10 months ago due to rust around the heel board, scuttle closing panels and sills (previous owner fitted oversills!).
Front panel and wings were also quite grotty.
So I got to work cutting off all the panels that would need replacing but I have realised I have bitten off more than I can chew with this project given I don't get much garage time, and there isn't much room in my garage (as you can see from the pics). Somebody better equipped for dealing with bodywork issues could probably make light work of this as boot floor and floors are solid except for where previous owner fitted oversills.
The front loom is disconnected and dizzy has been removed (included in sale) as I was going to fit megajolt originally
Car comes with a decent lot of receipts and paperwork from the 5 years or so I have owned this car.
Car was fitted with Hi-Lo suspension, Gas-A-just dampers and new cones 3 years ago.
Weller 10x6 wheels with good tyres all around, spare weller wheel also included. Buyer can also have three 12x4 wheels if they want them.
Full neon interior with grey seats and carpets, although rear seat is fire damaged on one side (don't ask me, it's been like that the whole time I have had it!)
The car comes with pretty much everything needed to get it back on the road except body panels. It will include doors, bonnet, windshield, distributor, headlights etc. which aren't shown in the pictures.
