Hello, I am hoping some of you can help me. I am a middle aged lady about to start learning to drive in an automatic car and I have seen a 2007 Mini One hatch (auto obviously) for sale at a good price £1,800. However, it has 152,000 miles on the clock.

I am very tempted with the opportunity to own a very nice car (in my opinion) at a bargain price but wonder if I would be buying myself a lot of trouble? I am unsure just how reliable these cars are.

Apparently there has only been one previous owner and it comes with service history though the word 'full' wasn't mentioned on the description.

I appreciate any help and advice any of you are willing to give.

Hi Lynnie, this is a forum for the classic Mini. You should have noticed when you registered. Although there are a few members on here with the BMW MINI you will get a better response from one of the MINI forums such as MINI2.

or try TotalMINI forum:-

I personally would go for a lower mileage Mini One auto 2007 onwards only, avoid the early pre-2007 'CVT' automatic as they are unreliable and expensive to repair........
