I have just changed my split driveshaft gaitor and noticed when removing the driveshaft spline from the hub found

that there was spacer on the driveshaft flange.    according to my manual the spacer should only be fitted to the drum setup but this was fitted to mine with discs?  I have fitted it all back together without the spacer and after doing up the retaining nut it seems to run freely, does anybody think this will be okay?

After purchasing the car a month ago i drove it home and it drove perfectly, it's a mk2 mini cooper.

any help would be appreciated.

Cheers Andy
