Reverse rims were not factory fitted as far as I'm aware. They were made by Dunlop, who also made the normal steel wheels for the Cooper, S and standard cars.
The part number is LP918 (Dunlop) and some were also stamped AHT182 . The dimensions are 4.5" x 10" offset +16.
The 4.5" Cooper S wheels are LP883 and their dimensions are 4.5" x 10" offset +36.
This means the reverse wheels stick out of the guards an extra 20mm.
I had a set on my car. They fit very nicely with flat drum brakes all around (or Cooper 7" discs), with Cooper S 7.5" brakes they'd stick out a bit.

Cooper S wheels were 3.5" (LLP882) or the optional 4.5" (LLP883) and are a different offset to "reverse rims" in order to avoid fouling the braking system. I think all original fitment Cooper S rims were made by Dunlop. However, there were also copies by other manufacturers.
"Reverse" rims were available in a wider variety of widths and will be proud of the bodywork on disk braked cars (except the early 7" brake Cooper). 4.5" seem to be the most common. But I also have wider ones. Dunlop and other manufacturers made them.
The wheel directory below has good info/pics
