Evening all, thought it was about time to share the progress on our new website and introduce us to the forum properly.

We are a small family business operating from Tamworth with a huge amount of experience in historic engines. I personally spent over 4 1/2 years hand building and dyno testing Cosworth BD's, Coventry Climax FPF grand prix engines and FWE's as well as many many Lotus Twin cams that raced successfully all over the UK and Europe. Most notably I built the Twinc that Split the top 8 Ford GT40's at the Spa six hour race at Spa Francorchamps, finishing 6th overall.

Skip forward a few years and I set up JW Engines. A small family business, run by classic car nutters for other like-minded folk. We have already carried out work for TMF members who are very happy, as well as work for racers and enthusiasts all over the country and as far afield as Switzerland.

Feel free to check out the website and facebook page (links below) and give us a like. Don't be afraid to get in touch if you are interested in any of our services/products.

We are also offering a 10% discount on labour to all TMF members who contact us through the website! Remember to include who you are in your message!

Hi James, do you do all your engineering (skimming, cylinder boring/honing, porting etc) in house?

Hi Steve,

We do all of the porting, valve seat work (unleaded conversions, 3 angle seats etc) and honing in house.
Re-bores and crank grinds are sent to a local specialist who does them for us.
