I don't know whether to sell her and get another in the hope that it'll get me back into Mini's! Or do I keep her and just hope I start to love her again!
I don't know what it is!
If I was to sell her, she'd have a years MOT and 6 months road tax, how much do you think I would realistically get for her?
To see her condition, check out her project page (link in my sig)
Any opinions...good or bad would be HUGELY appreciated!
Cheers, Sian

Whilst he was off road though it made me realise just how lucky I am to have a mini, I missed everyone smiling, waving and sometimes honking whilst I drive him. Noone really does that at my corsa

And Barbara, who I pass countless times, is one of the nicest minis I've seen! Really unique. There aren't many minis that I can honestly say I really like the look of because I like quirky but in a smart way and Bab's deffo got it!
Maybe you could go to a show or a mini gathering and just see how good Bab's really is

Plus It'd make the best bit of my journey to work really cack.
If you're still not sure though, like Dave said, really give yourself time to think about it, please

(I think I'm secretly in love with your mini but don't tell noone).

I've got to the stage where I'm loosing interest in Babs :'(

Babs is luvverly though, really nice looking and she's got some nice detailing too.
The thing is, what is it that is making you lose interest? Is it Babs specific?
If it's the 'owning a slightly impractical small car' thing that is making you lose interest, then it is going to be difficult to rekindle your love for Babs.
If it is something to do with performance, looks, economy, cost of upkeep, then maybe another mini will help.
My list of things to help promote/rekindle interest in Minis:
1 Watch the Italian Job (the original one),
2 Go to a mini show,
3 Go out for a drive or to a local mini club meet,
4 Get jiggy in the back seat of Babs,

5 Buy shome shiney bits for her and make her feel special!
OK, so I thought it was worth throwing number 4 in as a wild card!

This implies that it's not just Babs but minis in general. Which is a big change from your profile interests: "Minis, Minis and Minis".I've got to the stage where I'm loosing interest in Babs cry.gif

Do you need Babs as daily transport? If not, IMHO it would be a good idea to store her away somewhere (out of sight and out of mind), temporarily stop going to mini club meetings (if you do that sort of thing) and see about other interests in your life. A sort of sabbatical few weeks/months. Keep a diary. Even -- dare I say it? -- stop tuning in to tmf for a bit.
If you have to use Babs a lot, and can't change that, then try to "sideline" her a bit in your priorities. Treat her with respect but as a means of transport as if she were just another car (which of course she isn't, being a mini, but you have to pretend). Could you swap cars with someone for a while?
Then see how you feel.
But
don't sell her yet!

If you need a hand!4 Get jiggy in the back seat of Babs,

If your looking to sell her then try and think of what you'd like to do with your next car (another mini hopefully). I always have 1 or two projects in my head, which makes it easier to sell current cars! If you don't have any other project ideas then you might as well hang on to her for the meantime.
Saying that, Babs always loved me more anyway!

And now you know what a mini can do to you! When we moved, old man (nasty nasty man) managed to get rid of two (estate & 850). OH DID HE PAY BIG TIME.... and I did not even realise. I did not cooking for 5 months, no tea was made...... no communication....... any sort.... then he told me to find a new one quick.... one that would not cost much as he did not have much spare dosh..... took me a few hours of franctic phone calls, jumped at the first one that I found (may be a mistake, but who cares) and made him drive me to Wigan to pick it up....... Hey presto, happier wife with mini. Don't think that he will make the same mistake twice. He does not even complain on how much I spend on her or how much time she takes up either. MORE THAN HIS LIFE IS WORTH......
