Hi everyone,

Long time listener, first time caller here...

We've been restoring a 1980 mkIV Mini with a mkIII 850cc engine. When we bought it, it was a stripped down shell with several boxes and buckets of bits. We're close to finishing this project, but need some help with a couple of things.  First up, can anyone identify the the two items pictured? I can't find any reference to them in any parts catalogues/websites.

Secondly: The Mini came with a Weber 28/36 DCD only, no other carb was supplied. Is there an "off the shelf" conversion kit available for connecting the throttle cable to this carb (*bracing for the torrent of reasons why not to fit this carb*) ?  I've spent hours searching forums/websites to no avail.  I'm assuming I'll have to McGyver something to make this work.

Thanks in advance.

The 2nd picture is part of the steering column/pedal box to dash rail mounting bracket.
I have a feeling the 1st picture is also a part of this inside the lover dash rail but not 100% confident.

Awesome, thanks Stoneface. That makes sense as they were in the same box as the pedal box bits. Haven't installed the column yet, so no doubt I'll find a home for them soon.

No 14-15 on this picture.
Can't remember where exactly, but I think on top of dash rail then bolted to 'drop' bracket(10).

The 28/36 DCD was a very good period mod; in the early 1970's I worked for a Weber agent on a Saturday and sold quite a few to mini owners. I find Webcom still have good stocks of linkages. If you email them including your photo and explaining exactly what you want they should have the parts. Use this linkhttp://www.webcon.co.uk/
