Hi;

Couple of questions on building / fitting a custom DIY dashboard.

Air Vent

I have these plans which suggest that the outer edge of the hole for the Air Vent should be 40mm from the outer edge of the bottom of the dash.

I have drawn on the hole but when I test fit the dash the holes seem too far over:

I understand that the vents will be taken off and a small extension tube need to be run from the Air Vent opening in the Flitch but they just seem too close to the edge?

The builds I have looked at use the original instrument panel presumably with all the fittings removed. The instrument panel needs to be secured into a separate housing. I guess this is done from the rear and then a facia of some sort needs to go over the top of the instrument dials. Do I remove the glass fronts and fit the glass in from the front. Anyone know what chrome / stainless rings to use?

Does anyone have a plan for a 2 Dial (Main Instruments) Dash, all the ones I can find are for 3 dial?
