Morning all,

My engine spec is as follows;

Overbored to +20 (1293) using 21253 pistons
MG Metro Large Valve Head
Mini Spares Evolution001 Cam
HIF44 on a Mini Spares Manifold

Drilled standard airbox with a K&N element
LCB with a twin box RC40
Electronic Distributer re-curved by H&H Ignition to ACDodd specs

I'm looking for slightly better performance; would a K&N cone and a stub stack do that?

I'm not sure what the current power is as it was never fully tested when run in.

Thanks,

Dave

Just looking at optimizing what I have really; didn't know if the standard airbox would be too restrictive. It was tuned last year and I will have it done again this year now it's fully run in.

Clean and re-oil your current KN.

Drilled standard airbox flows enough for that cam and head. Polishing and opening up the elbow did improve mine a bit

Some basic head work to make use of that bigger inlet valve would be the next logical step.

As Phil said modified head, and then ad a lightened and balanced flywheel assembly. Then have the engine properly dialled in on a rolling road.
