Hi All,

I have been having ongoing problems with water coming in around the brake servo mount (it is a 1991 mayfair auto so no clutch cylinder, just a blanking platet.

Is there an easy way of getting the brake servo mount off without disturbing the servo itself too much? I need to replace the plate that it mounts to on the bulkhead as it is very rusty and i believe that is what is causing the leak.

Hope this makes sense

Thanks

Will

You can remove the servo with relative ease. If you unbolt the master cylinder from the servo at the front, without removing the brake pipes and carefully pull it forwards free of the servo. Remove the vacuum pipe from the inlet manifold. It is just a case of disconnecting the brake pedal, unbolting the mounting bracket and its free and clear of the base plate allowing you to change the gasket. Without the need to bleed the brakes

Thank you! Very useful!
