It's your car - do what you want

personally I would try to keep it original

as it has got thru all these years like it

looks like it will need a bit of rust proofer on the bulkhead cross member

but looks better than a lot of 90's mini's

Identical to my 1965 Morris, hydrolastic, certainly looks the genuine article.

If you want to be picky the washer bottle, coil (if gold as appears on pic), solenoid , plug leads, hose clips, washer tubing and air box are incorrect. The chassis plate should be on the radiator surround, I would also think it should have a heater valve and heater of some type unless a very basic model. but nothing that can't be put right easily. Is the rest of the car ok

I think a heater was still an option on the base model. Looks very good.

That looks incredibly original apart from not having a heater and the heater trunking.

It would be expected that the original hose clips would have been replaced with the better worm-drive clips during the last 52 years,

Will you be striping out the engine bay, repainting it, checking the engine & gearbox and re-finishing the engine in BMC Engine Green (Land-Rover Bronze Green)?

I would, if I ended up buying it

The import bit makes sense hence the different air filter and washer bottle, I am not knowledgable on imports but it looks like a good project, lets hope you get it
