Engine stand

As title says really, i'm going to be swapping engines in my clubby, and i want to do a bit of work on the engine before it drops in.
So how am i best to attach the engine, to my friends universal engine stand.

there was a thread about this. somthing to do with a clarks stand. have a search for it. few diffrent ways. i'd look but

Ideally you need an adaptor plate as the arms on the stand aren't great for A series engines. Someone on here was building and selling them, try searching the site for engine stand adaptor or something like that.

You need to pickup the alternator mounting threads and something else on that side of the block.
