Hi all has anyone got a dummys guide to checking the wheel alignment and toe in / out on mini, looking at mine from the rear it looks like the drivers side wheel is in at the top positive camber , how can I adjust this? I have fitted a new sub frame and everything suspension wise has been refurbished, its only when I fitted the wheels and new tyres that I noticed that's the geometry looks a little out. Thanks in advance .

In at the top is negative camber.

In the modern digital era the easiest way to measure it is with a straight edge that just reaches rim to rim of the wheel and a spirit level app on your phone

Wheels in at the top is negative camber. But you really need to measure property to assess. This is adjusted by moving the outer end of the radius arm pivot shaft up or down for which you can buy adjustable brackets or by welding a suitable washer onto the existing bracket. Toe is adjusted by moving end of shafts forwards or back. Again adjustable brackets are available. This also needs to be measured accurately as this has has a significant impact on handling (how stable or 'twitchy' the rear end is) so needs to be right. The toe also needs to be equal each side relative to the centreline of the car to prevent 'crabbing'.

Thanks for all your help, I have removed the brackets and with a bit of fettling and adjustment the car now sits a lot better on a flat floor. Thanks again all
