Right i think this year at silverstone there is two mini shows one at the start of august and at the start of september.

Now i think the september one is bigger as it is run by one of the magazines but I cant remember which one now, so we did want a stand at this one, but because when you apply for a stand your club has to have been set up for more than a year, which means this year we cant get a stand for this one but watch this space for next year.

We were going to set up a stand for the one next weekend but being as though it was so close to drag wars we wanted to see how that went first before we thought about another stand, but now having seeing how much time we all put into the stand at drag wars i dont think we are going to have time now to sort out a stand for next weekend :grin:

To be honest with you, regards to the year problem, i don't think you would have a problem getting in.. For small clubs that don't know each other, that have only been set up a few months yes. But although you haven't quite been set up a year yet, you can tell them that it is your years aniversary on the day or something. For a club that has been set up less than a year, you have ALOT more members than some clubs that have been set up 5 years!

because thats when the Southern Mini Days is and myself and other members have been booked to go to that one.

Cowboy and I are trying to decide which event this weekend to go to before we go off to Canada. We did promise the kids to go camping.

Well, me and the GF went to this race meet (Mini45 Silverstone). It was quite good in the end, and there were loads of Mini's parked up on the airstrip.

The racing was great, until one of the John Cooper Challenge drivers put himself in the tyres on the second lap and the race was red flagged. It semed to take forever to get him out, and eventually they binned the whole race. Oh well. Eventually we got bored waiting for the racing to continue and left. But we did get to see loads of real Mini racing before we left. Bill Sollis made a complete mess of his round 5 race in the Miglia's. He went off once and continued far behind, then there was a restart so he made use of that and caught up. He managed to pass about a third of the field in one lap and then suddenly seemed to veer off. I don't know if he was carrying damage from his first incident or something, but when he went off he took two others with him!
