Right peeps, talk to me about door seals!

My MPi is very much still at the collecting numerous parts stage. However, my door seals are split and tatty and I'd like to give myself every chance of holding the moisture out! MPi door seals are 2 parts per side, however earlier ones are single piece. In terms of profile and effectiveness, does my car really need the 2 part seals where water can congress at the join and cause rust?

Discuss.

Any input is good input! Thanks for that. The only real different I see I that lower section of the MPi has a part that hooks over the carpet.

I looked at the MPi 2 piece seals, but on my SPi I went for the one piece style. Feed it on really tight (push it right up in the corners) and make sure the drain slots line up with the drain holes in the door (takes a bit of guess work) and mine have been great
