Got to love the knocking about powdercoat. If done properly its as tough as old boots. Again its all down to preparation and i'm having mine powdercoated and picking them up tomorrow.

Each to their own.

You do know then that rear subframes rot form the inside outwards with the inner radius arm mounts being the first to go. And I'd love to know how you get powder coat (witch is nothing more than a plastic powder that's melted to form a coating OVER whatever's being coated) inside all the nooks and crannies and box sections.

That's the good thing about powder coating The powder is statically charged and flows right into the cavity's  and nooks and cranny's filling in better than a liquid paint could ever do...........

From Wiki

Powder Coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin". The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, such as household appliances, aluminum extrusions, drum hardware, and automobile and bicycle parts. Newer technologies allow other materials, such as MDF (medium-density fibreboard), to be powder coated using different methods.

powder coating is not a rust protection.

always first zinc galvanized and then powdercoat the frame.

Well i got mine back yesterday and more than happy with the overall finish and where its actually got into. Yes there is a cavity on the rear subframe that i will inject with Dinitrol but other than that its spot on.
