Alternator (Ignition) Dash Light Not Working!

Best Answer KernowCooper , 06 April 2017 - 07:20 PM

Take the small terminal on the alternator which is the warning light wire, earth it if the light comes on its the alternator diode pack, if the light does not come on its the warning light wiring bulb connection, all covered in the FAQs Electrical Section.

Hello,

I currently have an issue with the dash light on my car not coming on. I have tried as much as my limited knowledge knows but I still can't figure it out.

The bulb on the right hand side of the dash (the oil light) comes on, as well as the high beam light however the alternator light doesn't come on at all, this includes at start, under high reves and also key in phrase 3.

Things I have tested;

Back of the alternator (Which gives out 13ish volts when on)

Bulb has been changed and also wired in to the battery to check it lights up.

The condition of the brown holder the bulb goes in to is ok and has been cleaned up.

As a side note, I would also like to say my speedo light doesn't work and the rev counter doesn't, well, rev...If that's related...

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
