Are There Any Good Guides To Complete Engine Builds

looking for a good guide for rebuilding an engine, i have a Haynes manual but always seems abit vague in areas, have wizard book but mostly explains upgrading/enhancing components.

 

its for an 1098 

 

any help much appreciated

Never found my Haynes vague.

A workshop manual will go into more detail but it will also expect more personal knowkedge.

The mini mania stuff on YouTube whilst it's a bit rough helps and oyster free. Des Hamils book is good too.
