ok, the large air duct that goes from the inner drivers side wind to the heater, how do you fit it, as there is no room, what with the pedals, the brake pedal switch, and parts of wiring loom etc, it was the only thing I lost when the car was laid up for restoration, so I bought one from ebay, but I just cant see how one could have ever fitted. any ideas?

Funnily enough, I need this answered as well. But I'm also missing the collector and cant find one to fit my year (1990) so I asked if there was an alternative.

I removed mine and blocked up the hole in the wheelarche.....

It does fit though, with a lot of swearing and patience....

I used a heat gun to soften it so I could tread it behind the pedals. Also stretched it a bit so it fit hard up against the wing and the heater box.

I just refitted mine on the second attempt. Patience is all I can say plus the ability to lay on your back to do it.
