They are Polyurethane, which unlike rubber, has poor elastic / spring properties.
Having said that, this company may have come up with something to put in their mix to improve this aspect of them. They have been around a while.
I did do an exercise years ago with a local Polyurethane producer in a range of products for the Mini, including replacement cones, we tried a few designs, but we couldn't get a respectable spring rate while maintaining strength so we dropped it. Their range of bushes that we jointly developed are still on the market and quite popular.
Buy some and try them.

I'm all for a new approach but this is the answer to a problem that doesn't currently exist. There's already been the reinventing of the wheel with Minitastic springs and now this. The original design works so well with its progressive springing; the continual development of the original design has led to a reasonably robust and well performing component.

You can manufacture rubber components stiffer/softer as you wish, it seems like a better starting point than PU for something like this.
