My 1992 mini has been off the road for a year but I have started her from time to time and drive her in and out of the garage just to keep parts moving

I have gone to get her out today and she won't start but that is the battery so I've stuck it on charge

While I was portering around I noticed a strong smell of fuel and looked underneath to find a puddle

I've checked all the pipes from the fuel pump to the carb and can't find any leaks and the puddle doesn't seem to be coming from the overflow

Any thoughts?

split hoses to or from the pump if at the front of the car.

if so I would change all the rubber hoses as the new petrol will destroy the old rubber hoses.

It's the other side of the car, the puddle has pit drops on the drivers side drive shaft if that's make sense, so it's directly there but can see any evidence above

I've found it. It has one of the glass type fuel filters in the engine bay which had undone somehow
