Work through the fault finder very methodically. You might find it is just a hydraulic problem which can be fixed in an hour or so.

Have done so, the mechanical system part is fine. The hydraulic system also seems fine as I am getting full movement on the clutch arm with 2 different slaves I've tested. It's pretty much the clutch assembly left to test, unfortunately.

If you set your mind to it you'll have the clutch out in under an hour.

Injection model so got a couple more bits to remove but yes, I suspect I can get it out pretty sharpish. I just hope I manage to sort it.

Thanks for all your replies by the way guys, I'll keep you all posted with my findings.

I found I had a clutch problem (not releasing) after I replaced primary gear and using minimum clearances because primary gear I think was sticking (not freewheeling) on crankshaft when hot. I think bronze sometimes expands a little more when hot and if clearances on minimal side can stick a little on crank. After removing again and increasing end float a little more 6+ thou, it solved my problem. I think sometimes using minimal clearances with some metals doesn't always work.

Yep, I see what you mean but my primary gear end float definitely wasn't on the tight side. I'll check it for the hell of it anyways.

Well, the primary gear was nice and free no issues there. Compressed the old pressure plate and it didn't seem to release the plate, chucked old pressure plate on and seemed to release fine. All fitted up and now I can select gears. Happy days! Looks like I'll be emailing minispares about the pressure plate.

Glad I've got that sorted, thanks for all your help.

Cam.
