Morning All,

Bought a Maniflow CAT Back exhaust to replace my very loud Play mini. The play mini has the flange that mounts the pipe to the cat welded to the pipe, so it's a flange to flange clamping arrangement using a metal gasket. The Maniflow however has a domed end and a floating flange clamp, so that there is a gap between flanges when you mount it up. I believe this is to allow for alignment variation.

Question is, how tight to make the nuts when tightening. Had a couple of go's at tightening it up, but I could still pull on the exhaust and it would sag down. Should I be tightening up until the flange plate is bending towards the CAT, or am I being over zealous?  I think I remember my old RC40 Cat back being the same arrangement, and it did sag once or twice over the years.  I am jacking the CAT up to get it straight before tightening.

Thanks

Craig

sounds like you have incorrect parts.

the ball fitting goes into a cup.

Thanks Nick, it's the CAT back exhaust I fitted, not the LCB / link to CAT. I got it fitted OK in the end anyway :-)
