shouldn't this be in tech help?

anayway. easyest way is a good proper stage 1 kit. most people here will suggest the mini spares kits as it dose come with all the fitting.

but this depends on your engine itself. we need an engine size. as the smaller engine do better with a cooper freeflow manifold were as larger engine benifit from the LCB manifold.

after that you can just go one. ported head, head from a larger engine (so the valves are bigger. allow gasses to flow better) but you need the engine pocketed then. New cam can add to sparky proformace.

But we need more info on your car, mainly engine size.

althought apart from engine mods you can lighten the car to give spark profomance. removing seats and anything else un-needed. changing to plastic or carbon fiber pannels.

yup a good stage 1 kit well fitted can see performance (mainly torque) rise by up to around 20 percent!

Depends on your budget - as above the stage 1 is the recomended all rounder performance booster.

Nothing beats a good service and tune up though to get the most out of what you've already got. From what I've learnt a good service should include:

New high performance spark plugs (NGK Copper ones recommended) that are spark gap checked

New silicone ignition leads

New Dissy cap

Oil change

Radiator coolant flush

Timing check

Tappets gap check and adjustment

Caburetter system cleaned, new jet, filled with oil, mixture and idle set.

K+N in-box replacement filter.

Pump grease nipples full of grease front and rear

Jack up on each corner and check wheels for bearing wear ( grinding noise when rolled), ball joint wear (rocking up and down), and tie bar bending ( steering wheel not level when driving straight).

Check the engine supports for wear, and replace bushes if necessary.

If you notice the engine shuddering during gear change or after selecting a gear, buy an ultimate engine steady for your year of engine and get it installed.

Think thats about it....
