Get quote's from insurance companies I would expect around £300-£500 extra

Can i change the 1.4 to a 1.6 later on ?

Yes but its not really worth it when you can do it one go

What is the adverage cost of the convertion (parts baught to go to a workshop)?
adverage fual consumption ?

I can't answer those question's depends on if you buy new/second hand etc

Can i keep 4 seats ?

Yes

need front end extended ?

A little I think although if your careful you don't need to

bigger fual tank?

depends on if you want one :dontgetit: although I think it has to be changed

Filp front cost ?(standard round nose)

Depends on new or secondhand

Flip front price depends if you go , fibre glass / carbon fibre. 2 piece or 1 . etc. 1 one peice carbon front will cost about £230 i think but thats standard size. fibre glass ones are way cheaper. but then the quality may suffer.

(oh then theres fitting costs...)

assume all parts are new/low milage and whats the differance between 2 peice and 1 peice it would be fibreglass.. (what are the benefits of carbon fibe outher than weight? )

Also what will i have to change 1.4 - 1.6 ?

What would the cost be to have engine and flip front fitted ?

ive been thinking of a 1.6 vtec conversion. It should come in around the 2K mark shouldnt it? The most exspensive part being the front subframe? at around £500 quid?

1.4 K series? I dunno sorry thats the only 1.4 conversion i can think of but i am new to engine swaps ect

i think they are more like 5k and a frame is alot more than £500 when you add up all the other bits you need.

Depends on many things, and it would be a 1.6

Can i change the 1.4 to a 1.6 later on ?

Again would start with 1.6 on the honda conversions

What is the adverage cost of the convertion (parts baught to go to a workshop)?

Watsons will do you a conversions with engine for around £10k

adverage fual consumption ?

With a standard 1.6 vtec 35-40mpg

Can i keep 4 seats ?

Yes

need front end extended ?

Depends what subframe you use, Standard round nose conversion needs more work so probably more money for things like a custom rad, alternator brackets, ITB's or bulkhead box, custom exhaust manifold if needed etc.

bigger fual tank?

Not really needed, depends what you want really.

Filp front cost ?(standard round nose)

Standard one what people have said above. Extended one 16vminishop do a fibreglass one £220 otherwise make a metal one, cost of panels (Front panel, 4 wings or Front panel, 2 wings, sheet of metal for extension.)

There is no 1.4 VTEC engine, if you want a VTEC conversion off the shelf you'll have to use a VTEC B series engine either 1.6 or 1.8.

Look at these link:

Have a read of them links, then a search on 16vminiclub should answer your questions.

Hope this has helped

Not if you want someone to do it for you, say you used an Allspeed frame which uses mini running gear your still gonna be spending £1200 for a subframe and custom driveshafts (The driveshafts are £400!) Engine mine cost £900 with EVERYTHING i needed, you could probably get one for £500-600? But make sure you get everything you need like: Engine, gearbox, driveshafts, engine and front wiring loom, ECU, gear linkage.....

to be honest i dont think you'll do it for £2000, you'll be pushed to do it for £3000 imo, mine on the engine/conversion side of things has cost about £3500.

Its not cheap lol If you want a 16v mini for cheaper go for a rover k series conversion.
