Hey Peeps !!

I'm Plankers, real name Rachel, but my nickname to all who knwo me, cyber & real chums, is Plankers.

I love pink stuff, ebay, mini's, piglet from winnie the pooh, animals, and sheffield wednesday.

I work as an Office Assistant/Waherhouse Task Supervisor, and I am also doing a degree in ENglish with the Open University.

Anyway, I am going to a car auction tomorrow and they have a mini - and I REALLY REALLY want it.

Here is the details, please tell me what I should be paying for it without being ripped off etc:

Austin Mini City 1000

998cc

C Reg 1986

Black

MOT August 2007

Mileage 108,000

I know the miles are high, but I hope that with a years MOT it will be OK, and maybe I could get a new engine after the year is up.

Thanks in advance !!

Plankers xx

It depends on the Condition the mini is in.

Look for rust in the usual place's A pannel,Scuttle,Front Headlamps etc

Best place to look is this guide here http://www.theminifo...p?showtopic=645

An also this thread http://www.theminifo...mp;#entry345683

Hope they help

at auction, and must admit VERY rare to see a mini at auction, you could get away with an absolute bargain, but don't let yourself get carried away...

Condition of the bodywork is paramount... any rust/discolouration or signs of a recent re-spray should ring alarm bells

I would aim for somewhere between 200 and 700, anymore and you'll probably get a mini with some sort of provenence on here

HeHe

That's mean ....

But I know what you are saying ... I might change it ... I forgot about evil people as well like murderers, that doesn't make them beautiful at all ...

Auction is tonight peeps !! Really really hope I get it but I can't afford to spend a bomb so will porbably end up with something else and have to save up for a mini and get one another time.

Thanks for all the tips anyway !!

Can you afford to buy a bomb? It doesn't even have to work, I think it would be a very useful tool in the negotiations on the price!

Well, I heard he was last seen wondering the streets of Devon, but there has also been a recent sighting on the Scottish coast, but at the moment, he's on walk about, obviously pursuing a plan is our Stan.
