Hello,  My Mini Clubman Estate was registered in Feb 1977, is there any way I can find out when it was built (obviously hoping to escape tax this year).  Chassis no. XC@£%2-&*^(83A.  Engine no, !@£$%.  Thanks !  (And apologies if I am in the wrong section)

As far as I know the tax is based on the 1977 plate. Correct me if I'm wrong.

also OP i would advise against posting chassis numbers online!
Contact British motor heritage they might be able to help you, I believe they have the records from leyland/austin/rover etc

Removed your chassis details, all to many cars get ringed one way or another and that is something we do not want to happen to anyone.
