I bought a 1977 silver mini 1000 registration number SJW 842S about five years ago. It was won by a woman in Edinburgh in a Colgate Toothpaste "hit the headlines" competition and was first registered on the 7th Oct 1977. She did not pass her driving test for a long time and the car sat in her garage for countless years. I have all the "back up paperwork", including the telegram she received informing her of her win, plus letters from British Leyland and the co-op, who were also involved in the competition.
I still have the original tyres, but not on the car and the vehicle is in fantastic condition. It has only done 5500 miles from new.
I was wondering if anyone on the mini forum could help me to try and get more details on the vehicle and also wondered what it was likely to be worth? Any help would really be appreciated.
