Hi,

Is Mini Sport the only place which do them for all minis?

There's that one and the MPi specific windscreen. That one will fit an MPi, but it's not as thick and doesn't have the rear view mirror mount.

Where would I get one to that spec you mention?

2nd that.

I've seen a few fitting the cheaper thinner one and just bonding on the fitting shoe to the new windscreen.

The reason that the MPI windscreen is thicker is a safety issue with the airbag. As an ex emergency services person, I'd reckon it's worth the extra, it's what I did. Mine started to go foggy around to edges like a lot doo.

If your really fussy, the proper screen has 3 black symbols above the mirror mount too.

Why not try the likes of Autoglass Windshields? They will even fit it for you.

Also remember mpi screens are tinted....and buying one will often work out close to the cost of the trade fitting one on your drive way gluing on the rear view mirror..... which surprise, surprise will be the same as your screen insurance excess !!
