Hi guys, some of you may have seen in my build thread that my engine recently went bang, meaning I'm now in need of a full rebuild. I would do the job myself as I'd love to learn, but I'm just far to busy unfortunately.

So I'm looking for recommendations around the Essex area who will do a good job. I'm not after anything fancy, I just need a well built standard engine that will be reliable(ish). I'm willing to travel to an extent for good work, so anything in the South East would be ideal.

I hope you guys can help me out!

Cheers

Chris

Maybe worth getting a std engine to throw in , so you can enjoy the car over the summer, then do a build when you can have time, and enjoy the learning curve?

Regal engines in purfleet are good. They aren't a mini specialist but I had them replace the guides and skim my head on my zr160 and a friend of mine had a short engine built up for a fiat coupe turbo and it has been spot on.
They machine everything in house and it's all warranted. As I said not a mini specialist but I have seen a db5 having a rebuild there too

Get the machining work done and build it up yourself. Thats what I did. It's not hard, just need to check everything properly as you build it up. I'm only near Braintree if you want a helping hand.
