Anyone out there had a leak around their roof Ariel? Anyone have a solution without having to peel back the headlining?

To do it properly you'll need to peel back the front of the headlining. You can always use black sealant around the base and make sure it's neat, I suppose.

This is a clear silicone sealant used in plumbing and a little of this will fix nearly any leak!

Fernox LS-X Leak Sealer 50ml:-

If the ariel is tight against the roof try some Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure, works great on windscreens so should do what you need.

Its possibly just a perished gasket.

Mine is mounted to the rear of the roof, was taken off a Corsa B. I used an old innertube cut to shape and used that as a gasket. Hasn't leaked yet and has been on the car for about 12months....

You will need to drop the headlining to gain access to the base of the antenna...

Gasket was surprisingly very good. The Captain Tolleys stuff did the trick.

Wish I had shares in it :D

Remember to re-apply it every few months as it does eventually wash out
