Evening guys and girls,
Need some help. I have a 75 estate and my friend has kindly lent me his towbar for his estate to copy. I've laid his under my car to see where it fits, and it seems as though i would need to move the rear number plate to be able to attach it to my car.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to make a towbar so I don't need to move my number plate? Where can I mount it on the back of the estate?
Thanks in advance, Alex

I'd be interested too! Don't want to relocate the plate to the back door!

I can remember a couple of Mini vans with tow bars fitted the number plate was mounted
on the roof just above the doors! with a pair of brackets made to fit the rounded part of the
roof, also some with the no plate move across the rear panel to one side,
By the way this was back in the 70s

It looks to me as though it mounts exactly where the rear plate is. I was wondering if I could maybe have it mounted behind the plate and then have it coming ubderneath somehow? Will have a look tomorrow
