Hi I have a center speedo and also Hif44 carb with Itg filter. The speedo cable has to bend quite sharply to fit. My newish cable has just snapped about where the bend is so I guess I need to rectify this. After searching here I found that you can get a 90 degree drive that fits into back of speedo.
I have emailed speedy cables as it looks like they may do one.
Does anyone have any other links to suppliers that have one that will fit

Thanks
Dan

I've got a standard long centr cable with my setup as above, shouldn't need an adaptor. Just make sure the hole in the centre plate is in the right place, we had to make a new plate as the original plate was recessed to where the itg was.

I don't have a plate on mine. Only place for the cable to come out is at least half way up filter as on mine its tight back. This means the cable has to bend sharply.
I found a new old stock smiths adaptor on ebay for cheap so all good.

There was a Triumph used one too. Incredibly expensive if you have to buy new worth considering going electronic instead.

Be aware that some 90 deg angle drives were also used as gear ratio adapters and were not necessarily 1:1.

Does anyone have the part numbers of any of these that would be suitable for a Mini?  I have a Mk1 with the ITG filter, and it really is a tight bend to get the cable around it.  There seem to be quite a few on ebay when I search for speedo angle drive, but no mention of which ones are 1:1 ratio.  Although if I use a different ratio, it'll make my Mini faster, right?  :teehee:
