Hi,

After having my mini on the road for a year after a 20 year sabbatical, I've decided to sort the suspension again. I'm running hi-lo's, 10" wheels, adjustable shocks, and the car is lowered.... however, I've just discovered that it's been sitting on the bumpstops for the last year!
I'm using the ones that sit on top of the wheel hub, as seen in the left side of the pic, but I also have the other sort as seen on the right side of the pic. Any recommendations on which ones to use, and would I get away with cutting them down so the car isn't actually resting on them?
Many thanks 👍

left is for a Hydro car right if for a Dry car.

some reduction of the dry ones can be done but not worth it on the wet ones as they are softer anyway and can be run on with little detriment.

Well you learn something new everyday 😉👍 Mine is most definitely a dry set up, so I will switch them over and chop them a bit if needed. Thanks for your reply.

Have never seen the front hydro bump stops fitted to a dry car and cant find any photos online. How do they fit? Do they attach to the upper suspension arm via the damper mounting pin?

I've fitted hydro front bump stops to my dry set up. Easy to do.
Had part was grinding off the old subframe mounted bump stop.

Did you fit standard or competition type bump stops?
