So I was replacing a very old cork gasket on the mini and it was in pieces stuck to the block. Basically I had to to scrape it off with a screwdriver and a quarter inch piece fell into the hole with the valve push rod. I've tried to get it out with a shop vac and straw but no luck yet. Is it bad if I leave it in there?

Probably not great but it should break up pretty quickly

It will float on the oil in the gearbox and should get crunched up by the gears - not as bad as silicon blobs ![]()
