am i mad? im sure in pics ive looked at that my mini advantage should have a grey steering wheel, with austin on it, and the green blue flash, but i can only see on ebay brown wheels?

If im going to get one, i want the right one! Should it be brown then?

thanks!

Grey bumpers, grey door handles, grey wheel-arches, flint grey/jade green door panels & seats, grey dash padding, grey clock binnacle, grey steering column shroud.... I will leave you to guess what colour the steering wheel is in this picture http://www.gcminis.c...ntage-201-miles

You also need to make sure it's the right shade of grey.

Somerford: The NAM5634 steering wheel was manufactured in Flint Grey, Granite Grey, Black, Chocolate, Prussian Blue, Coffee & Beige.

Best guess the steering wheel is Flint Grey = LG (the pad in the centre part no. NAM5634LG & the Austin badge =NAM6088).

thanks by the way mate, i looked on ebay in a different way and found "mini grey interiour",  and it was the original advantage trim, so £220 + £50 postage later, i own front rear seats, door/rear cards, and steering wheel. Defo needs a good clean but its original type for the car! ;)

Bit pricey (to an old skinflint like me)- but as a complete Advantage interior coming up for sale is now as rare a hen with wisdom teeth it's worth getting.

Amazing what you can find if you use different search terms ;-)

By the way what is the VIN plate trim code for the Advantage?

If you're going for the grey bumpers/door handles etc it's Nimbus Grey. The Complete Catalogue Of The Mini lists the door mirrors as Black & not grey (?)

well, yes, its a lot of money for a mini trim, but as you say, they are rare, so i thought id best not miss out on it. The car is a bit of a miss match atm, i have two ideas for it, but cant make my mind up, but either way, the advantage trim is what i want.

here is a pic of it

Itll be going back to a bare shell, fully repainted, either the original white, or old english white, more than likely the original white. bumpers can stay chrome, mk1 grill can stay BUT, im thinking of getting an outer mustach for it, and a grill with out the oil cooler cut into it, then paint the grill and the center parts of the wheels nimbus grey. The bumpers, wheels, and grill i can always change back if i wanted to, but the colour i couldnt so easily.

its going to be awhile yet till i get into it, got 2 other minis to sort first..

my brothers mates mini van, its been in storage for 15 years as a mot failure, then about 5 years ago, i welded lots on it and fully repainted it. Its far from mint but he didnt want it concourse, he wanted the van back on the road. Like as in if it was a metro or trabant, its a car he used to own rather than it being a mini.

My mums mini 30, she has had it since new, just put an engine in it, and lots of stupid jobs, its been sat since 2011, and will be for sale soon too... When that is done i can get my mini into the garage! Its long term home.

but again thanks for the help.
