After much troubleshooting, I have finally gotten my recently acquired SPI Mini so that it runs beautifully.  It idles spot on the target rpm, accelerates and runs without a hiccup, and seemingly produces good power.

However, I am finding that my fuel mileage is only about 20 (US) miles per gallon.  That just seems way low from what I've come to expect.  My driving is mostly short, stop and go, and I'm not a gentle driver, yet not abusive either.

Should I be expecting more?

I have the Mems-Diag Android diagnostic software, which works great and shows all manner of parameters, including timing adjustment, O2 sensor voltage, etc.

Wonder if anyone has a chart of "normal" readings that might help me pinpoint my problem, if I have one?

Hi how did you read the ecu? With a self made tool or an expensive reader?

What should be the average fuel consumption of a 1.3 spi mini?

I have 92 1.3 AT spi mini, my consumption 13 km per liter on a long drive and 8 km per liter on a city drive ,,, is thos normal or too rich?

13 km/l is about 36mpg, 8 km/l is about 22mpg ... but so many factors influence that ..

your right (or left foot), roads, distance, speed, "acceleration style", braking, ...

40-50mpg ought to be achievable if you try.

Start with the non engine related stuff 'n avoid a ghost hunt. Tyre pressures, binding brakes, wheel tracking.
