We have a mini 30, the front seats are a bit poor in it, and itll be for sale soon. They both are bent towards the center of the car. I take it the handle only latches one side of the seat, and that being the outer?

 

Whats best to do? If i take the covers off is there an easy fix? Or is it really new frames? I am weighing up selling the car as it is or trying to fix them.

no, we are selling the car, ive done lots of work on it, but trying to work out if its worth spending hours fixing some seats, or just leave it as they are

The plate that bolts into the centre support, look at that and up the top there are 3 holes above on both plates on each seat. I'm not sure if these have to be matched I can't remember but with there being 3 slots for a bolt there's room for adjustment. It may just be the previous owner preferred it that way.

oh i see, no the seat sits strraight to the car, its fine, its the back of the seat, ive bent,,,

Bent how :?, and if it's bent internally it's most likely going to be a pain to fix... unless you can just bend it back the other way the same way it got bent sideways.

right, both are bent internally, base is ok, its the backs that are bent towards the middle of the car. how hard are they to take apart? Will it take hours or is it not worth the hastle, and sell the car with two bent seats...

I can't remember how they come apppart unfortunately but the hard part is getting them back on IMO. I'm sure someone will be along soon who can tell you how though.
