Hello all!  So I just bought a Fletcher 2 core radiator from MiniSport. Looks amazing by the way. What I'm trying to do is add an electric fan to it using a temp switch that I want to attach to the drain plug area. Only thing is, I don't know what the thread size is. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

I've recently done the same thing. It's an M14 thread, which is a common size for fan switches. I've got one from a Volvo 340 which does the job, it's just a matter of finding one that suits your needs temperature wise.

Mad, Thanks alot man!! I really appreciate the help. I'll probably do the temp @ 200F/93C just slightly warmer than what thermostat would open at. I'm driving the car from Germany from Spain and Portugal.

You should easily find one that switches at 93, the one I've bought switches on at 87 as I've had problems with the car overheating in the past.

Really? Do you have an upgraded engine? I just had my 1275 bumped to 1293. Thats why I want the extra cooling. I'm hoping the fan should be enough. If not, I'll also add oil cooler with a fan on it. LOL

It's not an upgraded engine, but the radiator is front mounted so the air flow isn't as good.

Why not just wire the fan to a switch on the dash? You can manually switch it then instead of assuming it's on

Even better, temp sender in the rad, and a manual override with illuminated switch, best of both then.  I did this with my MPi as a backup to the sender.

I rather let the temp sensor do the work.
