I am asking how to strip down a Rover Cooper master cylinder to replace the seals.  The white nylon seal/clip is difficult to release.  The link has the images of the part.

There is a different seal kit for 1995 onwards cars, GRK1039

Maybe your master cylinder has been changed at some time.
