Hi Guys,

Just a very quick on to give me a heads up before I snap the things at the weekend...

Need to remove the find screen vents from the upper dash pad in order to place the vinyl trim underneath it and then re-secure. Is it just a case of pulling them out? Or are there clips/ screws holding them down? I don't want to go hell for leather with brute force and ignorance only to find myself on eBay buying a new set.

Cheers guys and girls!

Cheers mate. It's a 1972 Morris Mini although it looks like its seen an interior change throughout this time as its got a 3 clock walnut dash. Guessing its just a case of dropping the walnut dash off and accessing the vent screws that way?

there are push in covers for the padded upper. under there there will be two screws that screw into the vent head.

The black plastic push in covers? Like these...

If so, these are what I am looking to remove. These are just push fit?

Yes -It will snap.

They pull out from the front, which means removing the dash, & i've always done that without a windscreen in.

That sounds like way too much effort just to tuck the rail cover under the vents for neatness 😫

Edit: spelling
