Hi all, hope someone can shed some light. I'm looking at upgrading to a lightened flywheel, I've got a 92 carb 1275 which I believe has a verto clutch, but I'm not sure how to tell if my starter is inertia or pre engaged.
I understand it is dependant on what stater and type of clutch you have as to what flywheel you can use?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Nick

Inertia has solenoid on the inner wing. Pre engaged on the motor itself. Will almost certainly be pre engaged on yours.

If your clutch arm is like the one on the left then its a verto clutch

If it is like this it will be a pre engaged starter. AC Dodd will do you a great job.

What's the cost on lightening a flywheel AC Dodd? Will you also balance the flywheel with any clutch components?
