Hello all

Last week i bougt my second mini, its a Rover mini Sprite carb. version (hif 38) from 1994. Becouse i imported it from a different country i must pay a certain tax and it depends on the emmisions CO2 (g/km). Becase they didnt find any data they inserted the maximum value and now i must pay the tax that is almost equivalent to the price of the mini i paid or i must bring them an original prove of the CO2 emmisions that my mine have.

Is here anyone of you that can find me this data? i would be very gratefull! thank you!

https://www.gov.uk/g...8th-edition.pdf

These are the limits for UK testing. On page 12 you can see that a 1994 car has limits of Carbon Monoxide (CO) 3.5% by volume and Hydrocarbon (HC) 0.12% by volume (1200ppm). Both measured at idle.

Obviously, this may may be different in Slovenia but it may help your case.

Compdoc thank you!

I would need the factory (rover mini) value, i think there must be somewhere, they fitted an open loop catalytic converter to reduce CO2 emmisions.

Mine Sprite was made in UK - Longbridge so this CO2 value must be the same . Please help me!

thank you

As a guide my car 1993 carburettor model sprite (catalytic converter removed and charcoal canister removed too)

Passed at 3.0%(limit being 3.5) CO, however minis are prone to being rich

Try contacting the Heritage Centre at the Bitish Motor Museum ... they might be able to help.

got the answer;

"The only material we hold, relevant to your Mini, are sales brochures. Although these do list the technical specifications for the vehicle, they do not state emission figures. As a result we are unable to provide the information you are looking for. I personally do not think it will have survived in any form."

any other chance boys?
