Hi, just need some advice please if possible.
Ok so I have a stage 1 kit with lcb fitted to my 1275 engine
But the kit is for a 998cc engine.
The problem is do I need to upgrade to a 1275 kit?
I ask because I am upgrading to a stage 3 head shortly
And I want as much power as possible

Stage 1 kit means nothing, what you need to do is list what you have in terms of the parts and their manufactures and any modifications, i.e. head ported polished, valve sizes etc.

well the needle for a 998 will need replacing now, you may well be better with the original 1275 needle. but you don't say what the needle is.

you don't say what version size spec the LCB is, but most likely be OK as will the Exhaust.

stage 3 means nothing as there is no real definition.

whose "stage 3" is it? or what valve sizes ect.

The LCB may be ok, what diameter is it?

What type of Maniflow exhaust and what diameter?

The carb will be fine but as Nick says you'll need to change the needle.

You need to be more specific on the head specification. Stage 3 means nothing, who is supplying the head and what specification is it?

How do you know the CR is 10:1

The cam will work.

What are you doing about the ignition?

Budget for a set up on a rolling road.

Should be a very nice head. What pistons have you fitted and how did you know what cc to make the combustion chamber to give the 10:1 CR?

The engine is currently10-1 compression. So the new heead will be skimmed to retain standard chamber size after the chambers are modified.

Phil.

You could end up with a very nice engine, what are you going to do for ignition?

Wowow nice engine and things going on men. I have a very similar engine to you and use the kit stage one offered by mini spares without the rc40 exhaust, It worked perfectly on my 1098cc engine I had before and it now does the job fine. Hope to see that mini on the streets soon.
