I have a 1970 Mini Cooper (Replica) on 13x7 wheels. I have eased the front guards to suit. It has adjustable camber and caster arms fitted. I had 7.5 front discs fitted with no problems, until recently fitting 8.4 vented discs with 4 pot calipers. Since fitting I now find the front tires rubbing on guards and flares. My question is do 8.4s widen the track of the vehicle and if so by how much? Would be interesting to know if anyone else have this setup. Genuine sportspack arches? And did you cut the metal wing / front panel as per sportspack Minis?

Sounds like your castor is out, or ill shaped arches, dont have any rubbing issues with mine, and I run a tiny arch gap, probs 1/10 of the above.

Yes, sportspack arches and front wing cut as per sportspack minis. Only happened since 8.4 discs fitted. Wheels rubbing at rear of wing and front of arches as though I need to give more caster and perhaps ease front of arch.

8,.4 and vented are not the same and give different track widths. there are some kits that say they don't alter the track.

Hi! I got same problems and it might be because of the width of your tires. I managed to get rid of rpoblem by cutting a liittle more con the inside of the fender and no problems at all. Also maybe it touches because of the height of your car. Try use 3 fingers of height
